Use loyalty cards, gift cards, or offers

You can store digital copies of your loyalty, reward, membership, gift cards, and special offers (like coupons, promotions, and discounts) for thousands of merchants in Google Pay.

Add a loyalty card or gift card

Add a loyalty card by scanning it or sign in to your loyalty card account and then save the card.

Note: If your gift card has a network logo on it (like MasterCard or Visa), you'll need to add it as a payment method.

Sort loyalty or gift cards

  1. Open the Google Pay app Google Pay.
  2. Touch the bottom of the screen and swipe up.
  3. Press and hold the card you want to move.
  4. Swipe up or down to move the card.
  5. Release the card.

Use a loyalty card, gift card, or offer

When you're ready to check out at a merchant:

  1. Open the Google Pay app Google Pay.
  2. Touch the bottom of the screen and swipe up.
  3. Tap the loyalty card you want to use.
  4. Ask the cashier to scan the barcode.
    •  If your card doesn't have a barcode, read your membership number to the cashier.

Fix problems

Cashier can't scan card

If the cashier is having trouble scanning your loyalty card, gift card, or offer, try the following:

  1. Clean your screen.
  2. Check for cracks over the barcode.
  3. If scanning doesn't work, ask the cashier to type the code directly into their register.

Loyalty card disappeared from Google Pay

Added card from Gmail

If you delete the email with the loyalty card, the pass will be removed from Google Pay. If you delete a Gmail message, it stays in your trash for 30 days. After that, the email is deleted permanently.

You can add the card again using the app.

Added card another way

Your loyalty card might disappear if you:

  • Do a factory reset on your device.
  • Remove your Google Account from your device.
  • Clear all data from Google Play services or Google Pay.

To continue using your cards with Google Pay, add them to the app again.
